About TakehomeKit
TakehomeKit makes free tools for freelancers who want to know, before they accept a job, how much of the price will actually reach them.
Why we built it
Between a client's payment and your bank account sit a platform fee, sometimes a buyer fee, a withdrawal fee and a currency conversion. Each one is small. Together they often take a quarter of the price — and most freelancers only find out when the money lands.
Every tool here answers one practical question: What do I take home? What should I charge? What's my real hourly rate? How do I invoice this client?
How we keep the numbers right
- We check platform fees against the platforms' own help pages and update the tools when they change. Each tool shows the month it was last checked.
- Where a fee can vary — like Upwork's 0–15% service fee — the tool lets you enter the exact rate you see.
- Exchange rates come from a public mid-market feed, and you can always type in the rate your provider gives you.
Your data stays with you
All calculations run in your browser. Invoices, quotes, contracts and drafts are stored only on your device. There are no accounts and nothing to sign up for.
Independent
TakehomeKit isn't affiliated with Fiverr, Upwork, Payoneer, Wise or any other company named on this site. Spotted a fee that's out of date? Tell us and we'll fix it.
